This song sounds a little different from those on the original album, but I like what NPR's Robin Hilton calls "the strutting, spaghetti-western-electro–rock-and-pop romp "Windows.""

James Mercer (The Shins frontman) and Brian Burton (a.k.a. DJ Dangermouse of Grey Album & Gnarls Barkley fame) are releasing Broken Bells Meyrin Fields EP on 2011.03.29, which includes "Windows," "Heartless Empire," "An Easy Life," and the eponymous "Meyrin Fields." The songs were originally recorded for Broken Bells (2010), "but aren't B-sides. Mercer and Burton say the cuts just didn't fit with the flow of the other songs" (Via.)
